Our friend and board member Kevin Phelps was named Deputy County Executive this week by County Executive Pat McCarthy. Kevin had been working at the State Auditors office. This will be a great job for Kevin and he’ll do well at it, his expertise in budgets and managing people will come in handy. I first met Kevin when he was on the Tacoma City Council and have been really happy to have him on the board of the Mission. Congratulations Kevin.
