One of the really deceptive things about media, whether it’s television, social media, or film is that it gives you the feeling of being in the middle of whatever story you participating in. There are probably a few upsides to this, but there is one obvious downside: You get the stimulation of adventure without having to actually do anything. Instead of being outside doing the adventure, you’re watching, and judging someone else’s adventure.
Why not just turn it all off and doing something dramatically challenging and adventurous. You’ll find it more satisfying.
Don’t wait to live till you’re older, or wish you’d have lived when you were younger, do something dramatically loving, challenging, and meaningful today.
