“When you are fearful of change, remember that you may be able to make the change in a way that is more gradual and less wrenching” Julie Morgenstern
Many people don’t make resolutions and goals because they don’t believe they work. Often they don’t work because we try too much at once, using up the precious little will-power we have.
Experts suggest that you break down goals into little steps, making each one a routine, until it no longer requires discipline or will power. Then add another step. Before long you’ve accomplished your goal and it didn’t feel as uncomfortable as you feared.
For some great books on this, look at The Power of Full Engagement, Power of Focus, and Time management from the Inside Out.
